Russia"s largest diamond miner Alrosa said...

Alrosa, which accounts for 97% of Russian and 25% of global diamond output, said the company"s management board examined the results of the diamond miner"s production and economic performance in 2009.

Following the results of its operations, Alrosa sold diamonds worth $2.19 billion in 2009, including $2.13 billion worth of rough diamonds and $60 million worth of cut diamonds, the company said in a statement.

In 2010, the company expects its output to reach $2.31 billion in terms of value and diamond sales to hit $3.3 billion, the statement said.

Alrosa"s net profit is expected to equal 3.18 billion rubles ($106 million) in 2009, the statement said.
